dc.description.abstractInterview of Ratnakar, trade union leader from Maharashtra. Initially associated with the RSS, he went on to join the CPI, after reading books on Marxism. He got associated with the Beedi workers movement in Ahmednagar in 1957 and went on to become the President of the Beedi Workers Union - Red Flag- in Ahmednagar. Participated in rasta roko, strike and dharnas of the Beedi workers many a times. He inspired building of several schemes for cooperative housing of Beedi workers in Ahmednagar.en_US
