The reports describe severe atrocities on the Harijans of the villages Mehgaon, Anjanu and Barera. They include systematic attempts to maim the agricultural workers by disabling their hands and feet by beating them and by other means. When the Harijans were to work on the fields on 9.9.77 in v. Barera, they were attacked by the goons of the landowners armed with lathis, farsas and spears, and were seriously injured. Each of the Harijans was severely beaten. The doctors refused to examine and report the injuries. The workers were rendered unable to work.en_US
