Abstract: Interview of M.M. Gope, veteran union leader. Belonged to a family of agricultural worker. Ran away to Delhi and started working in cafes, and later military officers mess in 1947. In 1951, he created the Hotel Workers Union and expanded unionism in Nirulas, Wengers, Gaylords, Hotel Oberoi and others.
