Abstract: Letter from the President and General Secretary of Garment and Allied Workers Union requests intervention from GAP as the brand for whom the Chelsea Mills are suppliers. They demand reinstatement for 8 workers along with back wages and security of their employment at the mills.
Description: The letter gives a chronology of the ongoing dispute between 8 workers and the management of Chelsea Mills. The management asked the workers to stay after the working hours, denied them their gratuity and dismissed them. They also attempted to force the workers for one time settlement to close the ongoing dispute.
