Abstract: Interview and profile of Raja Kulkarni, INTUC union activist for last 50 years. Initially worked in the textile mills of Jalgaon, Maharashtra. He was the general secretary of the Mill Mazdoor Sabha, from 1949-1959. In 1959, he launched a 72 day strike of textile workers in Bombay. Soon after, he felt that textile is a dying industry and therefore began working with petroleum and chemical workers. Kulkarni was a member of parliament from 1971-77.
