Abstract: Interview and profile of Prabhakar Kunte, freedom fighter and union activist of INTUC. Initially a communist, who later left the Party in 1942, as CPI opposed the Quit India movement. Got associated with AITUC and then INTUC. At one time, was the General Secretary of the Engineering Workers Union. He also went to Berlin once, to attend an ILO meeting and met Indira Gandhi there. Currently, he thinks that the trade union movement has not contributed much to national development.
