dc.description.abstractInterview and profile of Mallapudi Suryanarayana. Born in a poor high caste family, he joined the Communist Party during the world war two. He worked with the Jute Mill Union at Chitti Valsa. In the mid 1940s, he was arrested many times for union activities. He went on to become the party secretary of East Godavari. He was finally expelled from the party for "anti party activities".en_US
