Abstract: | Interview and profile of M Muniandy, AITUC leader, Madurai. He began his career as an electrician and his father was a timekeeper in Harvey Mills. In the Spinning Mills, he came into contact with TU leaders. He was a participant in the 1942 Quit India movement and also participated in the underground movement of CPI in the 1947-48 period. He remained a lifelong trade union activist. For some time, he was with CPI-M, but remained in AITUC continuously till date. He was interviewed on March 16, 2005. |
