An official government communique in the form of a PIB release -- letter by Railway Minister to George Fernandes the leader of the All India Railwaymen's Federation regarding reaching a negotiated settlement to meet Railwaymen's demands. A Trade union press release from Dibrugarh calling working class unity and a Press release by NCCRS - Eastern Railway Calcutta on the 1000 delegate convention taking stock of the post-strike situation and its impact and attitude of administration with regards reinstatement of dismissed workers and court cases etc.
