Abstract:
The booklet, which first appears as an article in “World economy and international relations”, looks at the growing strike movement in capitalist countries between 1951 and 1970. It has the following subchapters: Marked growth of the strike movement; Political strikes; Strikes in capitalist countries in 1970; Strikes in 1971; Strikes of hired workers; Level of the strike movement; Industrial workers in the van (of class struggle); Duration of strikes. Tables outline numbers of strikes in selected capitalist countries by year and industry.
