Abstract:
Issues addressed include long working hours (beyond 9 hours), use of the 'temporary system' by management to avoid paying workers full wages and deny them benefits, health condition of workers impacted by long working hours, denial of sick leave, etc. Response of the government regarding setting up an inquiry committee to look into the issues raised by the Union.
