Abstract:
Interview of T.M. Abu, veteran leader of Dock Workers in Kerala, and former Mayor of Cochin. Joined CPI in 1945 and started organising dock workers through the Cochin Port and Cargo Labour Union, with the first demand being - end of contract system. Was underground during the armed struggle days and came back to organising dock and port workers after 1951.
