dc.description.abstract Interview and profile of Sitaram Ramchandra Jagtap, leader, Girni Kamgar Union.. Born in an agriculturalist family. Came to Bombay in 1937 in search of jobs. Began working at Saksaria Textile Mills, at the wage of Rs 20 per month. By 1946, he was the President of the Girni Kamgar Union. Jagtap has also worked with domestic workers, milkmen, bidi workers etc. en_US
