dc.description.abstract Two reports (1. Report of the Executive Committee Meeting of the Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Workers Union held on 11 July, 1973 and 2. Report of the Campaign for Funds collection in Andhra Pradesh through "Labour Contribution" by Agricultural Workers), the decisions as well as the work done of the APAWU in detail. They give the membership figures and the details of the campaigns carried out. The documents inform that millions of agricultural labourers and toiling rural poor participated in the national campaign recently concluded all over the country. It presents the formulations of the Communist Party of India (CPI) on this question. BKMU and the AIKS also participated. It was decided to observe One Day Labour campaign by the Union in the AP state by donating the proceeds by taking part in Paddy Cutting. This would be taken up in Nov-Dec 73. Paddy cutting would take place in four districts of Guntur, Krishna, East and West Godavari districts. The document further reports the actual campaign eg in Managalapuram in Krishna district about 500 Agricultural Workers took part in paddy cutting. For the first time the APAWU state centre received 2000/- rupees from five districts. It was a good beginning. en_US
