dc.description.abstract Interview of R.D.C.P. Rao. Union leader, Andhra Pradesh. Instrumental in organising an agitation of people for a steel plant in Andhra Pradesh in 1970s. Joined the National Mineral Development Corporation as a Press Card operator in 1976. In 1977, he joined the Samyukta Khadan Mazdoor Sangh, and organised the historic Kirandul strike of the iron ore miners in 1978. In 1991, waged another historic struggle at the NMDC, to take back 118 fired workers from the enterprise. en_US
