Profile of Phani Bora, prominent CPI leader and trade union leader from Assam. Born in Nagaon, Assam, he was active as an sportsperson since school days and got associated with AISF since then. Organised the first strike of oil workers in Digboi in 1939. Also organised tea plantation workers, against atrocities of the management and the British rulers.
