dc.description.abstract Interview of Parduman Singh. Born in 1924, he began his political activities as a student, collecting relief for the victims of the Bengal famines. Started Sarvodaya work near Amritsar. After Partition, came to Delhi and started a bookshop. Then he worked towards organising railway workers. Also got involved in organising textile workers. For 35 years, from 1955 onwards, he was the General Secretary of the Textile Mazdoor Ekta Union. en_US
