Interview and profile of P Peddaraju, labour leader at Chitti Valsa Jute Mill Workers Union. Born in a farmer family, he studied at Vijaynagaram and came to the jute mill for a job. He joined the factory in 1948. Initially attracted to Congress, he later joined AITUC and still associated with the organisation.
