Interview of Narayan Palekar, veteran trade union leader. He was initially with the Radical Humanist Party of MN Roy. Participant in the strike of electric supply and bus transport workers in Bombay. Also participated in the Goa liberation struggle. Organised satyagraha of bank and flour mill employees, including 3500 women workers in Goa. Also organised a strike of taxi drivers in Goa in 1964. |
