dc.description.abstract Interview and profile of Com. Namdeo Ramchandra Shenmare, trade unionist, AITUC. Began with organising textile workers in Gujarat. Participated in the railways strike of 1949 and got arrested. Released in 1951, became whole timer in the railways for some time. He also became a weaver in a textile mill and also went on to become the Vice President of All India Sugar Federation. en_US
