Interview of Manhar Shukla, veteran freedom fighter and trade union leader. Began working with textile workers of Ahmedabad from 1930s, through the Textile Labour Association. TLA also assisted Sardar Patel in social work, organising libraries, creche etc. Became a full time trade unionist in 1943. Also contested election and became MLA in 1966. |
