dc.description.abstract Interview of Kanai Banerjee, Secretary of CITU, and active in Railways and Cement Unions in Delhi. Born in Dhaka, he began from student politics on issues of civil liberties. Joined Railways in 1949, just before the militant strike launched by Ranadive. Later participated in the strikes of 1960s as well, though he was ill at that time. en_US
