dc.description.abstract	Interview and profile of Kachra Bhai S. Baghela, President, Sudhrai Mazdoor Union, Surat. He was from a poor family with little land, and so came to Surat and joined as a Safai Mazdoor in the Surat Municipality. Faced direct caste discrimination; in the school where he studied, the classrooms were segregated along caste lines. Associated with the Sudhrai Mazdoor Union from the very beginning, i.e. pre independence times.	en_US
