dc.description.abstract Interview and profile of Com. K. Subbarayan, Mill Worker and AITUC Activist. Born in a family of mill workers, he joined the communist party following his father. In 1971, he became a whole timer in the trade union front. Since 1971, he has been the President or the General Secretary of the Banyan Workers Union in Tirupur. He was elected as an MP in the 2004 Lok Sabha elections. en_US
