dc.description.abstract Interview of H Mahadevan, Deputy General Secretary, AITUC, HAL and others. Born in 1941 in an orthodox family in Tamil Nadu. Joined Air Force, after completion of education. Joined the Air Force Flying College in Jodhpur, and got involved in unionism there, as an EC member of the Hindustan Aeronauticals Limited, HAL. Got transfered to Bangalore, but continued unionism. Elected as Gen Sec of HAL in 1978 strike. Also worked in organising workers in Amco Batteries, and other industries. en_US
