Interview of Gopal Rao, veteran freedom fighter and trade union leader in the textile sector. Born in 1925, he participated in the student movements in Nizam's state. Also took part in the 1942 movement. As a lawyer, began helping textile workers, as the ID act and Industrial Committees were introduced and applied. This support he continues to this day. He also fought elections, and event got elected. Currently he is the treasurer in a number of workers unions. |
