dc.description.abstract Biographical Sketch of C.R.Bakshi, Iron & Steel Industry, Samyukta Khadan Mazdoor Sangh, AITUC, Chattishgarh. Originally from East Bengal, his family migrated to India in 1951. Initially worked as a school teacher, he later joined the Bhilai Steel Plant as a Drill Assistant, and then got involved into unionising. He led struggle of workers for regularisation of 3,000 contractual cooperative workers, who were finally regularised by the NDMC. Between 1974 and 1980s, he led many successful struggles of the mine workers en_US
