dc.description.abstract Interview of A.K. Rai, President Bihar Colliery Kamgar Union, Dhanbad. President of Ispat Mazdoor Morcha. Born in Bangladesh, he studied MSc Technology and Chemical Engineering from Calcutta University. Worked as Research Engineer from 1961 onwards, at the FCI and tried organised the workers. He was eventually dismissed from his job, and thereafter, he began organising workers in Dhanbad. Also joined the JP movement against emergency, and fought the coal mafia of Dhanbad in 1970s and 80s. en_US
