Abstract:
Interview and profile of A. Govindasamy, leader of Madras Press Labour Union. He joined the Communist Party during the Second World War, worked in Burma in the British army, got dismissed due to quarrel with British officers and resumed TU work in 1947. He was also one of the organisers of a Press Workers Strike, in solidarity with the Royal Indian Navy Revolt of 1946. Interview taken on March 11, 2003.
