Abstract:
Interview and profile of Ms. D. Shaleel, Union Leader, HMS; Chairperson of National Committee of Railway Women Employees. Joined railways after the early death of her husband. She belongs to a Congress family and fights for social reforms. She has raised issues regarding problems faced by women workers in the railways. She also takes active part in All India Railway Women's Meetings. She is now pressing for a separate women's all India TU wing.
