dc.description.abstract Various circulars of the WC on matters such as March to Parliament etc.; article by Indrajit Gupta - "Defend Workers' Basic Right of Strike", 1 November 1981; Press Release on the General Council Meeting of AITUC, 27 September 1981; Resolutions of the General Council Meeting of 23-25 September 1981 on matters such as - amendment of labour laws, ESIS Scheme Review Committee, recommendations of the Ramanujam Committee on the Provident Fund scheme, against the neutron bomb, Essential Services Maintenance Act, Minimum Wages and Scheduled Employments, Bombay Convention of TUs against anti-people policies of the Government, US Arming of Pakistan, Consumer Price Index, Amendments to the Gratuity Act, Resolution on the Jamshedpur Riot Enquiry Committee. Letters from various affiliated TUs to the AITUC Centre on various matters such as - the murder of a comrade in the Ranigunj Collieries, Party Fund Collection Drive, etc. Newspaper Cuttings on matters such as - High Court Stay on Spot Billing for All. Also contains various circulars regarding holding the General Council Meeting. Circular regarding decisions of the National TU Convention Against Price Rise and Anti-Labour Policies, held on 4 June 1981.
